Beer blogger tests monk tale

“Not by bread alone…” – but by liquid bread alone. J. Wilson of Prescott, Iowa is consuming nothing but beer this Lent: “Beer blogger texts monk tale.”

I recall from the time of my studies in Austria that one brand of beer has “März” on the label – for “March,” the month when one drinks more beer and fasts from food. Austrians seemed divided on whether that interpretation is historical or legendary.
