Lectio Divina, Benedictine style

Looking to jump-start your Lent this year? How about some lectio divina (“sacred reading”), the Benedictine manner of prayerful reading of Scripture? The abbot of Saint John’s Abbey, Abbot John Klassen OSB, talks about it here in his usual friendly and approachable manner.

    Thank you Abbot John! Clear, simple, thoughtful…. Lectio comes to life with your sharing of your own experience. I often encourage those who attend my retreats to continue the practice which we use during the weekend….and now I will send them to you for this little video which will help them move forward on their own!
