And so it begins…

June 11, 2011: Pentecost Sunday (vigil) in a local western Sydney parish brought with it the first in-liturgy use of the new translation[...] The liturgy had more of a feeling of ‘classroom’ than prayer-event at times.

Diocesan common Mass settings

Should the whole diocese learn the same Mass setting??
Let’s see if anyone out there has any opinions about music. I doubt anyone does, but I could be wrong about that.

Pentecost: “Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth”

Psalm 104 reminds us that in worship, we join with the whole universe which sings to God; our human voices are but a tiny part of a vast symphony that includes not only the birds that might sing in our backyard but also the waves of the world ocean and the movements of the galaxies.
