The Sabbath Manifesto from a group of Jewish artists encourages us to unplug from technology one day a week. Yes, their take is rather post-religious and a bit secularized. But the idea is a great one. Those of us up to our earlobes in religion have much to learn from them – and let’s hope we will be inspired to do some life-giving abstinence.
Grading the Translations

Fr. O’Leary’s scholarly eval of liturgical translations is most interesting. Here he grades 1973, 1998, and 2009 for the collect of the 27th Sunday in Ordinary Time. You might be surprised who flunks.
