Sr. Jeana Visel, OSB is a Benedictine sister of Monastery Immaculate Conception, Ferdinand, Indiana. She is Dean of School of Theology Programs at Saint Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology, and holds a Doctor of Ministry in Spirituality from the Catholic University of America, an MA (Theology) with concentration in Monastic Studies from St. John's School of Theology-Seminary, and a BA in Religious Studies from Kenyon College. She has studied icon painting with Ksenia Pokrovsky and Marek Czarnecki through the Hexaemeron Six Days of Creation workshops, and is author of Icons in the Western Church: Toward a More Sacramental Encounter. Sr. Jeana is also on the board of the American Benedictine Academy and the editorial board of the American Benedictine Review.
