Os justi meditabitur sapientiam, et lingua ejus loquetur judicium: lex Dei ejus in corde ipsius.
“The mouth of the righteous meditates wisdom, and his tongue speaks what is just: God’s law is in his heart.” (Ps 37(36):30–31)

Sung by Liborius Lumma, Innsbruck (Austria).
A wonderful introit in the 6th Gregorian mode. It has gravitas and saturation, it is an expression of inner peace. Great to know that Jewish and Christian teachers made this experience at the end of a long way, on which they meditated the Holy Scripture, God’s law and wisdom. Nobody says that faith is easy and free from temptation, but eventually there is – to say it with a wink – Gregorian Chant in the 6th mode.
