I was thrilled to preside recently at the baptism of little Hildegard, daughter of Pray Tell contributor Kim Belcher. And I was thrilled today when Kim gave me this hand-made cup as a thank-you:
At first I was concerned about the handle placement, since I’m not left-handed. Then I got it: it’s for versus populum celebration.
awr
Fabulous. And congrats to both you and little Hildegard!
LOL! Love it!
A church where I attend a meeting each week calls its coffee hour Jesus, Mary and a Cup of Joe.
I’m fully expecting to see this as a gift item in an upcoming Christmas catalog!
My priest calls it Jesus and Java.
Oh, I *love* this!! What a blessed event to baptize Hildegard, what a lovely gift for you!
Holy grinds!
This mug has caused envy in the liturgical world.

Someone there notes that the lid resembles a galero!
A line of mugs (with options of versus populum or self referential) should finance Hildegard’s education.
Of course if you are left handed this is a self-referential mug, and you would need a right handed self referential mug to celebrate versus populum.
Purchase would include a complex set of “rubrics”.
