Like Winter Waiting – updated 11/23

Pray Tell contributor, John Foley SJ, is the author of a “musical drama celebrating the Advent journey.” It isย entitled:ย Like Winter Waiting. There aren’t too many opportunities to see it, but one is coming up in New York. Congratulations, John!ย

I know that some of our readers live in New York, so please do consider coming if you can. It’s free and open to the public.

It will be performed at the historic Church of St. Francis Xavier in New York City on Saturday, December 3, at 7:30, by the Xavier Company, a theater companyย based in the parish but drawing on performers fromย a widerย area. [See flyer here.]

I’ll be there. So if you do make it, be sure to find me in the audience andย say hello. It’s nice to put faces to names! Added bonus: you can see the beautiful renovation they’ve recently completed at Xavier. I haven’t seenย it since it was finished, but the early work certainly was fine.

Update: I’ve just learned that someone else will be in the audience whom you might like to meet as well: the composer/playwright himself! A special occasion indeed.

Well, to be honest, probably never. I don’t feel it necessary to advertize every time I’m quoted! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Since you bring it up, however, hope you enjoyed the clip!
