The Catholic Academy of Liturgy is meeting this morning in Vancouver. Topic this year is a two-part offering on technology and the liturgy. The first part this year is a panel presentation:
- Fr. Terry Fournier – Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops, national directives for use of technology
- Bernadette Gasslein – a view from publishing: how technology is changing audiences and authors
- Christian McConnell – new technologies in the ecclesia and implications for a practical theology
In 2019, Teresa Berger will present on technology and liturgical theology.
At the Business Meeting there will be election of a team leader, with candidates Paul Janowiak SJ and David Farina Turnbloom running. There will be reports from ICEL (Fr. Paul Turner), the Canadian national liturgy office (Fr. Terry Fournier), US Committee on Divine Worship (Fr. Andrew Menke, written submission), and FDLC (Patty Hughes). Fr. Ed Foley will update on a CAL project with Liturgy Training Publications.
